It was one of the first phones to come with smile shutterTM technology, later added to the C905 series. The C510 has Cyber-shot branding and features like blogging, auto focus, LED flash and face detection.The phone also has a camera cover, scratch resistive screen, and keys that illuminate when in camera mode to access particular features such as flash. It also supports a wide range of exposure settings.
Performance
The camera can shoot at up to 3.2 MP, and can record video at 30 fps and in QVGA format. A firmware upgrade allowed the phone to run processes such as Windows Live Messenger. The phone supports auto rotation for portrait to landscape via the built-in accelerometer which is also used for various other applications such as a step counter and some games. The phone has the ability to work as a modem, and in a good 3G signal area up to reasonable broadband speeds can be achieved. It supports memory card upto 8GB capacity.
